Conservative bloggers, and now Delaware police, have been interested in some hints of a private conversation between Rep. Anthony Weiner and a girl who appears to be a teen.
Weiner's spokeswoman, Risa Heller, emails: "According to Congressman Weiner, his communications with this person were neither explicit nor indecent."
Sexting with an underage girl would push the Weiner scandal out of the realm of embarrassing consensual conduct and give House leadership reason to credibly threaten expulsion.

I wasn’t even aware of this, but great catch by Weasel Zippers. Seems back in 2008, Anthony Weiner pulled out a bill in Congress to create 1,000 new visa slots for foreign fashion models. Weiner’s claim at the time according to CBS was that the bill would boost New York’s fashion industry. Back then, no one probably gave the bill much attention. Fast foward to today and Weinergate, and now this bill makes perfect sense! CBS titled the article:

That New York Congressman is of course Anthony Weiner who is still at the center of Weinergate. Little did CBS know how accurate they really were at the time. If he thinks this scandal is going away, he has another thing coming.

NY Congressman Hot For Foreign Models

(CBS) A New York congressman has introduced a bill that would create 1,000 new visa slots for foreign fashion models. Democrat Anthony Weiner said the measure would boost New York's fashion industry.

"From Fashion Week to our vibrant publishing industry to the many designers that call New York City home, fashion is a vital part of our economy that drives thousands of jobs," Weiner told the New York Daily News.

Overseas models currently compete for so-called H-1B visas, which are intended for highly skilled foreigners who may be computer experts or doctors. The models have not done well, with only 349 slots going to models out of the 85,000 available, the New York Post reported.

New York's tabloid newspapers said Weiner, 43, is currently dating Huma Abedin, a Hillary Clinton aide who has posed for Vogue magazine.

Not everybody is hot for Weiner's bill.

"Forget trying to bring in new meat," ex-supermodel Janice Dickinson told the Daily News. "Let's divvy it up between the Americans on American soil, please."

A month after fighting for a bill to up the numbers of supermodel visas in New York City, Rep. Weiner’s “campaign admitted it had mistakenly deposited illegal checks made in the names of the foreign models.” (April 4, 2009, New York Post). Weiner initally denied ever taking money from the foreign workers in the first place at a fundraising put on by an immigration lawyer. (No conflict of interest there!) But according to the Post on March 10, 2009, “Weiner’s camp insisted it hadn’t deposited the checks, but offered no explanation for why it included them in the filings.”

After campaigning hard against U.N. bureaucrats racking up parking tickets in NYC, he racked up an impressive $2180 in parking tickets in D.C. Aides claimed the D.C. authorities sent the bill to the wrong address. (He later paid them when public scrutiny came to bear.)

In the 2009 spending bill Weiner sponsored $18.4 million in earmarks for 22 groups and projects, over $500,000 of which went to campaign contributors.

His “Friends of Weiner” political group was forced to pay $47,000 fine because of financial misconduct.

After condemning the Arizona immigration law, he admitted to never having read the 16 page law.

Finally, New York Magazine in 2009 described him as “one of Congress’s leading horndogs,” The Daily News called him a “lean, mean dating machine,” and The New York Post noted in 2008 that “[i]t seems everywhere Congressman Anthony Weiner goes, there’s a bevy of babes surrounding him.” (New York Magazine, May 11, 2009).
