Since its inception, the internet has provided new ways for people all over the world to exercise the rights of free speech, freedom of the press and freedom of assembly. These rights are not simply the benefits of a free society--they are the very means of preserving that society's freedom. The recent increase in government interference with these freedoms coincides with the failure of the corporate media to fulfill their vital role in checking the abuse of authority. Censorship and journalistic abdication have left citizens unaware and unable to hold their governments accountable.

WikiLeaks has moved to fill the void left by traditional news media, providing the necessary information for citizens to hold their governments to account. Yet it has not been granted the legal protections generally afforded to journalists. Instead, the organization has been vilified and monetary support has been blocked by governments and private corporations. The vitriol aimed at WikiLeaks demonstrates an unsettling disregard for the fundamental freedom to exchange information and express ideas. Members of a free society must not allow information to be suppressed simply because it inconveniences those in power. We share the responsibility to defend vital liberties. The time to act is now.

We are Anonymous, a leaderless movement that has worked tirelessly to oppose all forms of Internet censorship worldwide, from DMCA abuses to government mandated content filters. Our initiatives include supporting dissenting groups in Iran, Zimbabwe and Tunisia, as well as waging the highly visible information battle against the Church of Scientology. We are now prepared to take the fight to the world stage. Join us on January 15th for the first in a series of global protests in defense of WikiLeaks and freedom of expression. Stand with us to defend your freedoms.

Anonymous Mask

Why We Wear Masks

Scientology protesters cover their faces in order to protect their identities, to preserve anonymity and to ensure safety. Consistent with its “Fair Game” policy, which requires that critics and enemies of the organization be “utterly destroyed,” Scientology has a well-earned reputation for harassing critics and openly critical ex-scientologists at their homes and workplaces. Taking measures to protect your privacy and anonymity when confronted by an aggressively litigious cult – a cult whose mantra is “Never Defend, Always Attack!” – is a matter of common sense.

We Are Anonymous
And So Are You

I was in deep trouble in my second marriage and my brother-in-law had been murdered adding to the already shaky ground I was living on........

We were living in the bay area and I found a Scientology site that I could visit (not internet but physical)  I attended 2 meetings and was in shock.  It was the most bizarre couple of days I can ever remember.  They wanted me to sign over my bank accounts and my house I had left behind in Dos Palos.........and it went on and on..........  nuff said on that.

We moved to Phoenix and for a while lived with my daughter....... and then made another move and another and I had not sent these people any change of addresses, however, they found me not once, not twice but 3 x's and it simply freaked me the hell out. my2cents    ...cal

Remember Remember
the Fifth of November

Nursery Rhyme & History
Guy Fawkes & the Gunpowder Plot
Words of "Remember Remember" refer to Guy Fawkes with origins in 17th century English history.
On the 5th November 1605 Guy Fawkes was caught in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament with several dozen barrels of gunpowder. Guy Fawkes was subsequently tried as a traitor with his co-conspirators for plotting against the government. He was tried by Judge Popham who came to London specifically for the trial from his country manor Littlecote House in Hungerford, Gloucestershire. Fawkes was sentenced to death and the  form of the execution was one of the most horrendous ever practised (hung ,drawn and quartered) which reflected the serious nature of the crime of treason.
The Tradition begins...
The following year in 1606 it became an annual custom for the King and Parliament to commission a sermon to commemorate the event. Lancelot Andrewes delivered the first of many Gunpowder Plot Sermons. This practice, together with the nursery rhyme, ensured that this crime would never be forgotten! Hence the words " Remember , remember the 5th of November" The poem is sometimes referred to as 'Please to remember the fifth of November'. It serves as a warning to each new generation that treason will never be forgotten.
In England the 5th of November is still commemorated each year with fireworks and bonfires culminating with the burning of effigies of Guy Fawkes (the guy). The 'guys' are made by children by filling old clothes with crumpled newspapers to look like a man.
Tradition allows British children to display their 'guys' to passers-by and asking for " A penny for the guy".
The picture is of the 'Gunpowder Plot' conspirators
Starting with Thomas Bates, Robert Wintour, Christopher Wright, John Wright, Thomas Percy, Guy Fawkes, Robert Catesby and Thomas Wintour

The Rhyme allowed an element of free speech!
A rhyme associates words with similar sounds using a rhyming couplet or short verse. A rhyme is often short and easy to remember and this was a critical element when many people were unable to read or write and a rhyme was verbally passed from generation to generation - it was also a vital element when commoners wanted to comment on the events of the day! It must be remembered that direct criticism or dissent would often have been punishable by death!

In retrospect, review of the past 40 years of combined Scientology and
Tavistock conditioning methods now indicate that they are firmly ingrained,
either inadvertently and/or deliberately, in all aspects of
“industrialized” society (eg Consumerism, New Age-ism, Self-help-ism,
Politics via web-blog, voting via web-blog, etc). Tavistock methods in
retrospect have everything to do with training the masses to react in
predetermined manners, and training the masters how to manage them. Church
of Scientology (COS) at its core teaches their “students” (thetans) to
think of the human as an “electrical” organism, and that all beliefs and
desires and nourishment can be defined in electrical terms. Similarly, COS
teach that the power of the human mind and body derives from such an
electrical level. They believe established education and religion harnesses
such electrical potential with engrams to keep it squelched. COS believe
release from such establishment training will release the engrams and the
properly prepared thetan can thus attain access to that virtually untapped
source of electrical power in and around each of us.

Remember from yesterday about Tavistock restaurants........  Freebird is one of them.......  hmmmmm, ey?

this one is called Kipsy, or better Libby after the Statue of Liberty. We thought they were kidding us, but I just googled it and what they were telling us checks out. They said it has been seen often over the years on the Hudson and is also known as Kipsy, (after Poughkeepsie) but people from around here just call it Libby.
