My daughter's first personalized license plate 'Madana', was she brainwashed (she graduated high school in 1986 and Madonna was very popular then.)

Oh yeah and she had the first sapphire ring I had seen as an engagement ring,  I didn't know at the time about Princess Di's Sapphire ring.  She's the same daughter who went to Hearst Castle and informed me she wanted to live like that........ she was only 4.  hmmmm, ya think we're brainwashed?  She was voted the most likely to succeed and she was president of her senior class.........  she's in a world of hurt right now as she and her ex lost 2 houses in the financial crisis.  ...cal

Let's brainwash our own with dancing in the streets, maybe even one coordinated at a certain time and date or dates.........  (oh yeah right cal, like then they'd not be flashmobs, ey?)  ...cal

On Saturday February 13, 2010 1500+ took part in the "Dancing in the Streets" Flash mob on Robson St in Vancouver, BC. It was timed when the world came and had its eyes on the city as part of the 2010 Olympics. It is the largest Dance Mob to ever happen in Vancouver. Thanks to Imagine1day for organizing the dance and Anna's friend Steven Olsen who took the video from the rooftop!

FLASH MOB: Do-Re-Mi Dance in Antwerp Train Station

This video comes to our attention from Quixotic K blog. A flash mob converges upon what seems to be an Antwerp train station to perform a choreographed dance to Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music, remixed a bit with some dancey beats mid-song.
Yes, Quixotic K, this is perhaps why the internet was born.

The not-so-spontaneous “flash mobs”  performed song and dance routines throughout the Philadelphia area, with the purpose of surprising and amusing passersby that are going about their daily lives.

The union’s plan was inspired by the impromptu song and dance routines made famous on YouTube that were performed by the comedic performance art group Improv Everywhere for cell phone company advertisements.

In early 2010 it emerged that the Belgian Bishop Vangheluwe had abused his nephew. Belgian Cardinal Danneels was found to have been aware of this, but claimed he could not take action. The investigation into the abuse as well as the alleged cover-up is ongoing.

When asked during a university lecture on 19 April 2010 how pedophilia should best be discussed in class, the former bishop replied :"I think you need to be well informed about these things. In a way, it's not a tougher subject than many others. Yes, it's embarrasing, it's scandalous. But then again, so are many other things [...] Also, there have been some articles that imply that pedophilia is nowhere so little prevalent as in the Church [...]".^[8]
As late as 21 April 2010 the former bishop had written a column in a regional edition of the Flemish catholic weekly Kerk en Leven (Church and Life), saying that "at present we suffer from the scandals that batter the Church: everywhere there are stories of priests abusing children. It's horrible to see these things surface, and they hurt us deeply. Nevertheless, this shouldn't blind us from the fact that the majority of priests lead exemplary lives and represent a support to many. (...) They aspire to imitate Jesus."^[9]

Scandal in Belgian Church - Cardinal Godfried Danneels

This is a Comment I made on Rod Dreher's Blog BeliefNet that sums up my attitude to the scandal in the Belgian Church. His article is called Danneels approved pedophilic catechism? and I wrote this on 30 June 2010:

I have not had time to do a commentary yet but one thing that strikes me is the similarity to the Father Paul Shanley scandal in the USA. Shanley was a promiscous homosexual and also a "gay" icon in the 1960s and 70s. Many conservative Catholics complained bitterly to the Church authorities about him and eventually, in 1979, he was removed from his "gay outreach" project in Boston. He was not however, removed from the priesthood. Even his supporters acknowledge that he was probably having sex with adolescent boys who were about (or below) the age of consent but "liberals" didn't bother about that at the time.

Then in 2002 Shanley was accused of having raped FOUR eight year children decades before. His 4 accusers - all of whom knew each other - declared that they had "repressed" their memories for decades but had just "recovered" them. All of Shanley's gay and liberal friends believed this proposterous story and deserted him. He was convicted on Recovered Memory evidence alone and the Massacheutetts Supreme Court recently refused his appeal and affirmed the validity of this voodoo brain science.

Cardinal Danneels is no Paul Shanley in his personal life but there are certain similarities. Belgian liberals loved the "liberal" Cardinal and sneered at his conservative critics - like Alexandra Colen when she protested at this repulsive "catechism". Now they have turned on the Church and see nothing wrong in desecrating tombs in order to search for hidden documents - straight out of the Da Vinci Code! The Belgian Church degraded itself by adopting the values of the world and now the world despises it and wants to destroy it. It is an end without honour or dignity.

So did Frank’s partner, a Fannie Mae executive at the forefront of the agency’s push to relax lending restrictions.

Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank's relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie’s assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

Both Frank and Moses assured the Wall Street Journal in 1992 that they took pains to avoid any conflicts of interest. Critics, however, remain skeptical.

Three independent groups of investigators (Allen et al., 1989, Byne et al., 2001 and LeVay, 1991) have published results showing that the volume of the third interstitial nucleus of the anterior hypothalamus (INAH3) [a part of the brain] is significantly greater in (presumptive) heterosexual men than women. In a widely publicized study (LeVay, 1991), LeVay reported that the volume of INAH3 was significantly greater in heterosexual than in homosexual men. The homosexual men whose brains were analyzed in this study had nearly all died of HIV/AIDS whereas the heterosexual subjects typically died of non-HIV related causes. This difference in cause of death led some critics to attribute the differences in INAH3 volume observed between homosexual vs. heterosexual men to the presence of HIV infection in the homosexual sample as opposed to a difference in sexual orientation. A more recent study (Byne et al., 2001) suggested, however, that there was no effect of HIV infection on the dimensions of INAH3 in either heterosexual or homosexual male subjects. These investigators also reported only a non-significant trend for INAH3 volume to be greater in heterosexual as compared with homosexual men. Keep in mind if they did manage to complete it's development, we could say bye bye Iraq Oil and Middle eastern oil for that matter. I say this assuming that what oil the US has is enough to lubricate them properly.

Ok we all know that the Wankel Engine has very few parts.

There is one major problem though as I understand it. The seals keep failing so they cannot devlop an engine that is ideal for hydroygen fuels.

Just why can't they develop those seals?

Is this another conspiracy between the Oil companies? Keep in mind they meaning the major oil companies did manage to put an end to both the Nash Rambler and the Turner (Think that is the correct name could be wrong) because they both claimed very low
